YouTube Gifted Memberships

Each Saturday at 9pm GMT/BST, Ghost Theory premiere a new episode on YouTube. During the premiere fans flock to the live chat to enjoy watching the episode with Joe and Elliot.

Oftentimes, during these live premieres, generous fans (and Ghost Theory themselves) will give away one-month free paid memberships to lucky recipients (who are randomly assigned by YouTube).

In order to be eligible to receive a gifted membership, you must have your "allow gifts" setting turned on.

Opt-In To Receive Gifts

Some viewers will only see the “Allow Gifts” option during a livestream or premiere, so if you don’t see it now when you go to your settings, try again once a stream starts.

To check now:

  • Go to Ghost Theory's channel (on desktop, or to the GT channel on the YouTube app)
  • Click “Join”
  • Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) at the top of the window that opens
  • Select “Gift membership settings”
  • Toggle “Allow gifts” to ON.

Please note: YouTube only allows gifting of the lowest tier memberships, which means if you are awarded a membership gift it will be tier 1 for a month, and that will give you:

  • A green username and a loyalty badge next to your name in comments and live chat
  • Custom emojis to use in comments and live chat

You must be tier 2 to view members-only videos.
