Summary: This episode nearly didn't get completed. About 3 hours of the investigation has been cut out because we really didn't feel up to it and you can tell in the footage. We left without cinematic shots and it sat on a hard drive for months before looking back at the footage. We decided to release it as it is because we truly cannot find an explanation for what happens.
Originally known as The George, the name was changed after King Charles II stayed in 1680. This hotel has an interesting history spanning over 500 years. It was used during the English civil war as resting places for troops on both sides. In the 19th century inquests into unusual deaths were normally held in this hotel but now it is a burnt shell of the building it used to be. A fire broke out on 8 October 2021 making this one of the most dangerous investigations we’ve done.
